Tell me: Which Calvin does the world need? This good student? Or the brilliant, imaginative boy who would normally find a creative way ditch his homework and have adventures outside in the snow? Which would you rather spend your life being?
I would defintely be the adventerous Calvin. Look at the poor kid on the pill, he’s like a zombie being controlled by the adderall robot. Tragic to see children tranced like that without realizing they could simply train themselves as strong human beings prepared for what the future has in the store for them.

The world needs the adventurous Calvin. While it might take him a while, let’s face it: He’d make a killing in Hollywood. Or as a young adult author.
Theres a time to play and a time to be drug induced.
I really have a gut wrenching reaction to this, this really hit me hard, since I grew up with these comics.
i have seen this before and each time i cry. *OUCH*
theres time for both. this will only be beneficial for him in the long run, where once his goals are accomplished he has the rest of his life to remain creative and adventurous
@Anonymous – Yeah, I told myself that too. I’ll just use it now while I have things to accomplish, and then I can play later once I retire at 25. The thing is, you never run out of goals. And do you really want to miss all that life in the mean time?

There are some of us who make time for both. Just depends on your life philosophy and mine is that you only live once, so work hard, play hard, and above all maintain a balance between the two.

I am currently on 25mg/day and losing weight faster than an anorexic. Haven’t had a “drug holiday” since I don’t even know when. So I’m a written word fan and will aalwys choose traditional blogging over video, however, I am not against video, I just think that there are pros and cons to both. I also think that video is trendy right now and while it is a visual thing and most people are visual, you don’t want to do something because everyone else is doing it. Also I know that I personally have respect for people who can write and communicate in written word better than in person. I find that one of the biggest cons to video blogging is that not everyone is captivating. Of course that’s a con to traditional writing as well, but it’s easier to find your voice and maintain your voice written wise than it is on video.While it takes practice, much like anything, I do think that there is a lot of success to people who actually shine in person. If you’re awkward, nervous, lose your train of thought, say um a lot in video, it’ll show and people will not watch your videos.I also find that if you are video blogging to create content, in most cases you’re just wasting the same amount of time that you’d waste looking at a screen trying to type words. I think video blogging should be included in your traditional blogging, but it should be used in a limited setting and developed as your purpose for video blogging and content does.
