The only reason i was able to stay on adderall as long as i did, was due to being on a cocktail of other meds that took the edge off the adderall side effects antidepressants, mood stabilizers, benzos, and weed.
I’m 25 and I’ll be at 7 years this summer. I really want to quit but keep waiting for the right time. I started out (2008) with 30mg xr and actually used to be able to go without it on weekends and randomly for a day here and there during the first couple of years (during Christmas and thanksgiving breaks and stuff) without even really craving it.
Then after graduation (2012), I got my first real job and had to up my dose to the 30 mg xrs with a 10 mg ir, after not being able to take my everyday 4:00 PM nap anymore lol. I did pretty good with that, but then started to feel like I had to have it to do anything besides sleep and eat, even just hanging out with my friends on the weekend.
Last year I moved up to the 30 xr and 15 ir dose. Now I’m about to get married and for the first time I really want to quit. I just have been thinking about all the little moments I won’t fully enjoy with her and it makes me cry. Like how can I be doing this when I’m 50, 60, 70 years old. Ive already talked to my bride to be about it. She had no idea how troubled and scared I was to quit, but is looking forward to helping me through it. I’m glad I’m making the decision now while I’m going into hopefully just the 2nd quarter of my life. I can’t wait to spend my “new” life with her, and experience true and natural happiness again ๐

Disclaimer:
This site is called "Quitting Adderall," not "Don't take Adderall."
It is not my intention to go around knocking pill bottles out of people's hands.
But if you want to put the bottle down for your own reasons, then this site can help you.
Adderall is appropriate for some people. This website is not for everybody. I am not a doctor; I'm just some guy who went through the quitting process and am happy that I did.
If you are deeply debilitated by severe ADD,
you should ignore this entire website.
